What does it mean to be rooted in your purpose? Oftentimes when we talk about purpose it can feel ethereal and a bit hard to break down and understand. Today we dive into our purpose and how it’s more than our career and more than falling in love - it’s more than these milestone moments that our culture has told us we need to have to have value.. It has to do more with who you are becoming rather than what you do.
Today we are joined by Shannon Phelps and she talks about the importance of purpose in her life. Shannon is the Co-Pastor of Reve Church in San Diego, California - I love that Reve means Dream in French!
Shannon dives into her story and talks about how she is a very outgoing and fun person and she was just living for the moment and the next event. It was while she was on a Mission trip to Jamaica as a young woman Shannon came to a realization that she had no idea who she was. This trip set off a journey of letting God into her life and how she needed to live a life of purpose. And 23 years later she’s now walking in her purpose and sharing that journey with us.
